Energizing Your Day
Some mornings we wake up already feeling rushed, distracted, or low on energy. Before the day fully takes over, I’ve found it helpful to take a few quiet minutes to reset.
It’s a simple practice I use to energize the start of the day.
First, begin with a short body scan.
Sit comfortably and take a slow breath. Bring your attention to your body, starting from the top of your head and moving down slowly — your face, shoulders, chest, stomach, legs, and feet. Notice any tension and allow it to soften as you breathe.
This simple pause helps bring your mind back into the present moment.
After that, ask yourself three short reflection questions.
1. What am I grateful for?
Think about the people in your life, the things that support you, or even qualities within yourself that you appreciate.
2. What is good about this moment?
Even on difficult days, there is usually something small that is still okay — a quiet morning, a warm drink, a moment of calm.
3. What am I excited for today?
It might be something meaningful, or something small you’re looking forward to.
These questions gently shift your attention toward appreciation, awareness, and possibility. When we begin the day in this way, our mindset changes. We tend to move through the day with more clarity and energy.
The practice doesn’t take long. Just a few minutes can make a noticeable difference.
If you try it tomorrow morning, notice how it influences the tone of your day.
